JAMAL Blackman has joined Rotherham United on a season long loan from Chelsea.

The 6ft 7in Goalkeeper will take up the No.1 shirt with the Millers ahead of a second goalkeeper arriving sometime this week.
Blackman has spend time in the Championship before arriving at Rotherham. He started for Sheffield United on 31 occasions in 2017/18 and kept 9 clean sheets and conceded 34 goals.
His time at Chelsea started in 2012 and he has spend numerous seasons out on loan, most recently at Bristol Rovers from January 2020 until football was halted in March. He made 10 appearances for the Pirates and kept 3 clean sheets and conceded 14 goals.
Blackman also joins Rotherham’s other new faces in wanting to work hard and impress after speaking to Millers manager, Paul Warne. Blackman told millers.co.uk;
“I’ve heard a lot about the manager, so I’m really looking forward to working with him. I know he wants to play good football and I want to be a part of that going forward and help him to build a team”.
Jamal is in his final year of his Chelsea contract, he will be keen to show clubs in the championship what he can do and demonstrate his ability to the high-ups at Stamford Bridge.
