Pie and Pint review- Bainsy’s Bar, Birmingham

To start I’ll mention I’m in Birmingham to watch Coventry v Rotherham. I came in this bar for a quick drink and found they did pies so I have to review one don’t I?

Anyway, the pub has a stained glass image of the BCFC logo so you can tell it’s a ‘home’ pub. Very welcoming and friendly though.

I went for a pint of Carling, priced at £3.30, which isn’t too bad, then chose the all steak pie, priced at £2.50. Again not bad at all. So a pie and pint would cost you £5.80, quite cheap to be honest.

The Carling is nice and cold. The pie is crispy on top and has a generous filling of steak and gravy with a delightful taste. No soggy bottom either which is brilliant as far as I’m concerned.

Bainsy’s Bar gets a decent 8.5/10
